Oh. My. God.
Okay, I usually don't do stuff like this, but considering this woman could potentially be a 71 year old heartbeat away from the presidency, you may want to watch this.

Nathan update
Ahhhh what a week!! The kids have had a minor cold all week long but on Friday Nathan woke up in respitory distress. He was short of breath and as the morning went on just got worse. I decided to take him to the doctor before his appointment because I could hear him wheezing without my stethascope on and he was making grunting noises everytime he took a breath. By the time I got him to the doctors office, he was unable to talk, cough or do anything. They gave him a neb treatment (like dads) and it helped almost immediately. They said we are going to start watching him more closely because what he had was the equivalent to an asthma attack. It may have been triggered by the cold, but now that he has had one he is more likely to continue to have them. Luckily they set us up with an at home neb treatment so now if that happens again we can just deal with it at home. He seems to be doing better today he is now only taking the neb about every 6 hours. Just thought I would give you all an update!! Hope everyone is doing well. Love you all!!!!

Downed Tree + Ass-Hats @ ComEd = Money out of my Pocket
Well, $425 later, and our power is fully restored. Thanks to freakin ComEd, we had to pay an electrician after hours pay to come hook our power up. Let me explain.
I called ComEd early yesterday morning to report our downed wire and our partial outage. They gave me the "we don't know when it will be fixed, but you're on the list" routine, and HOURS later, we still had not heard anything from them. I decided to call again about 4:00. The power line was on the ground, and the lines were nearly pulled completely out of the wall, so I thought we should be a priority! The second person I talked to agreed, and the service team was out here about an hour later. They disconnected the power, cut the tree off the line, then re-hung it to the house. The only catch was they refused to connect it to the box. Turns out, the box suffered some minor damage, and according to the service tech, they were "only responsible up to the house."
Great. Just freakin great.
So I proceed to call a few local electricians, to try and get someone out here at 6:00 at night. Finally I get a guy here, but in the end it cost us the aformentioned $425 dollars. After hours rates are a bitch. What choice did we have? We would have lost all the food in our fridge overnight, and I'd just spent $125 on groceries Monday night!
Anyway, the tree service the town hired spent most of the day at our place cutting up the tree and taking it away, so there's at least some good news. We won't have to pay for that. Oh, did I mention the tree trimmers dropped a limb on the hood of the Jeep? Man, what a freakin week.

Tornado!
We got hit pretty hard with some serious storms last night, and when the three of us came creeping out of the basement, this is what we saw.
There were very high winds, reaching over 90 mph, and a funnel cloud was spotted very near to us. Our town has trees down all over, and since this one is resting on our power lines, we have a "partial outage". What that basical means is that the lower demand items in the house seem to be working, but the important stuff, like the air conditioner, are m.i.a. Everyone was alright, and hopefully we'll be getting this thing off the lawn really soon. Here's the rest of the photos.

Moving....
We are currently in the midst of the "Great Family Move!" We are almost out of our house and tomorrow Dad and Mandi (or Mani as named by Nathan!) are moving in! Things are an absolute disaster right now but will get better. I think this move will be good for all parties but being in the middle of it sucks. Nathan is absolutely in love with living in the country and Mandi is very excited about her green and blue car room:) I Love you all very much!!! I will not be checking this very often anymore because unfortunately I will be moving over to the darkside and having dialup...duh duuh dunnnnn:( Take care every one.

Doctors Appointment, Unhappy Baby
Ahh, the dual-edged sword that is the 2 month doctor's visit. We were both so excited to see how much Violet has grown, but at the same time we were a bit nervous about the round of vaccinations she was to receive. First, the good news. Violet is weighing in at a healthy 10 lbs 13 oz, and has grown to 22 1/2". So in the last 2 months she's gained 3 lbs 12 oz, and 2 1/2"! Now, the bad news. She's been running a fever the last day and cried/screamed pretty much all last night. Side effects are a mutha. I was so worried about the actual shots she was to receive, that I completely overlooked the side effects of the shots. Apparently this is normal, but it's sooooo hard to see her unhappy and uncomfortable without being able to do anything about it.
